Position Summary



The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will manage a defined geographical area of independent sewing specialty retailers. They will develop new business, expand existing business and develop strategic account plans. The RSM will serve as a growth consultant to their customers to help them grow their business, access new products and market to existing and new customers using key sales events and promotions. They are responsible for ensuring productive and enduring partnerships between SVP and the independent dealer, meet or exceed sales objectives and establish forecasts.


Responsibilities




Understand the SVP product offering across all Brands and be able to speak to the features, advantages and benefits of each product Develop regular sell-through activity with Dealers with the use of activity grids Consistently deliver sales quotas, account revenue, margin while staying within budget Accurately forecast sales revenue for the month; Develop action plans to achieve the target Track and evaluate Dealer performance on a monthly basis and make recommendations to drive growth Coordinate and send out monthly specials to Dealers and follow up with the Dealers to review, ensure clarity and implementation Manage and expand existing accounts and secure new placement with prospective accounts Obtain new distribution to achieve sales objectives Effectively sell Conventions & Dealer Meetings to achieve the attendance goals Effectively plan and execute Event initiatives to drive higher Sell Through activity ensuring overall sales objectives Prepare Dealer for events: selling materials, specials, samples and products Review and process all Dealer Co-op, rebates and claims Attend major company and industry events and conventions Set up a productive cadence for dealer visits, meetings and business reviews to drive sales and become a trusted business partner

You Bring (requirements, preferred skills):




3 - 5 years in sales of consumer products, prefer sewing or consumer durable experience; retail, sales, marketing and/or sewing machine industry experience is a plus Must have effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills Demonstrated ability to deliver in a high sales performance metrics driven environment Demonstrated ability to partner with dealers to develop a strategic business plan with aggressive sales goals Understanding of their role in profit and revenue contribution Experience working independently, managing and prioritizing multiple tasks Computer proficiency required including e-mail, Internet, and G-Suite programs Ability to assist retailers and conduct workshops, classes, special promotions, and store events throughout the year for the purpose of selling company products Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a multi-state region. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office tools; Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.

TRAVEL AND LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: This job requires 80% travel and the ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. This role requires you to have your own means of transportation with active insurance and driver's license. Preference is to be located within easy access to the major airports for ease of flight travel when necessary.





This position is 100% commission.


You will need to be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation, including:



Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, copier/printer etc as well as have the ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time Required to retrieve or reposition products like sewing machines weighing up to 50 pounds
