Job Description

Promote and service Credit Union loan products to Real Estate Agents, builders and individuals throughout the community. Lead the mortgage sales teams to meet production and growth goals and develop lasting relationships with real estate agents and builders.




Duties and Responsibilities:




Provide Regional leadership to establish and sustain successful real estate community relationships that meet loan needs and provide additional products and services from the credit union. Establish the day-to-day business practices necessary to build an ongoing mortgage sales team including annual goal setting, hiring, coaching, training, technology, marketing, etc. Work effectively with the Mortgage Processing, Mortgage Underwriting and Secondary Market departments in order to provide superior service to our members throughout the mortgage loan process. Take a leadership role in regional representation of the credit union to the local real estate community in order to build awareness, brand image, credibility and new business. Actively participate in community real estate organizations and associations. Ensure high standards for member satisfaction in all areas of team operations including resolution of member service issues, complaints and problems. Ensure Regional profitability of Mortgage Lending by generating revenue and managing expenses based on annual approved budgets and Credit Union goals. Ensure the establishment of sound mortgage lending practices that gain efficiencies and are in compliance with all Credit Union policies and procedures as well as applicable federal regulations. Recommend and implement changes as necessary. Maintain in-depth product knowledge on all mortgage products and services. Cross-train team members as part of sales efforts; may conduct formal training on products and sales techniques. Ensure the credit union's on-going ability to be our member's preferred source for financial products by participating in the development of new and responsive products and services. Work closely with branch staff and other key member contact positions to enhance sales efforts throughout the Credit Union. Assist in the preparation of business, financial, and marketing plans for possible new mortgage lending products, programs and services. Participate in the Credit Unions long-range strategic planning and development and develop objectives in support of the plan as they relate to mortgage lending. Build and maintain relationships with other credit union departments to build awareness and educate others on mortgage lending, as well as identify room for growth, efficiency and improvement Ensure proper reaction to industry changes in a way that promotes competitiveness of the credit union. Promote and maintain a confidential environment to protect member and credit union information. Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:





Bachelor's degree in relevant field required. Five years' experience required. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of the credit union and member records at all times.

A demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union staff. Dedicated to serving our internal members and holding team accountable for the Credit Union's service standard. Professional in appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed. Ability to work under pressure and through conflicting situations. Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by Idaho Central Credit Union.




Physical Requirements:




Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.). Sit for extended periods of time. Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc. Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers. Reach keyboards. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
