Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant is a member of the interdisciplinary medical team of Family Health Center of Southern Oklahoma, Inc. He/she is responsible for patient referrals, Patient Assistants Program (PAP), Breast & Cervical Program, and assists in Insure Oklahoma enrollment. QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate/GED.
- Personal maturity, cooperation, dependability, and initiative required.
- Must show strong interest in working with a team and culturally diverse patient population.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Ability to use computer (experience preferred in Electronic Medical Records and Word Processing software).
- Appropriate math and written and oral communication skills.
- Be able to demonstrate problem solving skills via the chain of command.
- Basic Life Support Certified preferred.
