Position: Assistant Director Program: Energy Services Reports to: Energy Services Director Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-4pm; 37.5 hours per week Salary Range: $25.00 \xe2\x80\x93 $27.00 Job Function: Works under the direction of the Energy Services Director to coordinator and direct the daily office operations to support the overall Energy Services Program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist the Director in the preparation of all grant applications as applicable to the Energy Services Program.
Review Weatherization Assistance Program applications to determine final eligibility.
Coordinate referral services with other county agencies and funding sources as deemed appropriate in an attempt to address all energy health and safety related problems in a building.
Assists Director in monthly preparation of all client files for final certification to the state and site field visits with the state field representative.
Review payroll for accuracy and oversees accounts and purchase orders authorizing the purchase of materials, tools, equipment and office supplies within the established budgets.
Provide direction for the overall department in the absence of the Director.
Keeps the Director informed of any issues that need to be followed up for resolution.
Attends training and professional development courses when required.
Responsible for billing of services performed for EmPower NY programs, assists in billing of various other programs when needed.
Directs training and orientation of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with agency policies and procedures.
Coordinates program vehicle maintenance services with appropriate vendors when necessary
Acts are back up to Administrative Assistant and Account Clerk positions when required.
Building Maintenance Oversight
Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate maintenance work.
Supervise and train maintenance and janitorial maintenance staff.
Monitor building/maintenance inventory and supplies of materials and equipment. Order and purchase needed materials and equipment.
Maintain code regulations, including but not limited to back flow testing, fire extinguisher certification, etc.
Qualifications and Requirements: Associate\'s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; plus 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience in administration of a building construction, building rehabilitation or energy conservation.
