Job Description

We are a kids hair salon looking to hire a receptionist who has good people skills especially with kids. We have high standards for our employees, so we aim to hire the best. This job opportunity is great for a summer job (high school students) or for cosmetology students. We are looking to hire someone who can work Tuesdays and Fridays 3pm to 7pm and every other Saturday. This is a part-time position. Depending on experience hourly pay is between $11.00 and $13.00 per hour. We have opportunities for pay raises based on performance. Job requirements:

  • Work with young children and their parents.
  • Check-in and check-out clients.
  • Answer phone calls.
  • Set up appointments.
  • Seat clients for hair stylists to cut hair.
  • Clean and sanitize haircut stations after use.
  • Keep haircut stations orderly.
Cosmetology Students, this is a great opportunity to learn what it is like to work in a fast paced salon. In addition, once you\'ve graduated with a cosmetology and/or barbering license there are opportunities to be promoted to positions such as hair stylist. TO BE A RECEPTIONIST, THERE ARE NO REQUIREMENTS TO KNOW HOW TO CUT HAIR FOR THIS POSITION. Available shifts are Tuesday and Friday evenings and every other Saturday. We close at 7pm on week days and 5pm on Saturdays. No requirements to work late nights. We are closed on Sundays. From the playground slide in the waiting area, to the TVs and fantasy chairs on the cutting floor, our expert staff is waiting to provide all children with a one of a kind experience. We strive to provide a caring environment where we put both the child and the parent at ease. Our stylists are skilled in cutting hair for all children, and provide that extra special touch for those with special needs. Not all children like to get their haircut, we are aware of this struggle and do all we can to make the experience one that they will want to have again.
