Basic Job Functions:
The Receptionist is primarily responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the operation of the division as it relates to taking care of our internal and external customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, answering and routing phone calls , welcoming and proper administration visitor\xe2\x80\x99s access, assisting various department with purchasing activities, work with vendors for receiving, manage location meetings and activities, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will develop strong and trusting relationships with internal and external customers and will be the point of contact at the location for all administrative tasks.
Nucor Steel West Virginia is Nucor\'s new sheet mill with advanced steelmaking capabilities. This is a greenfield project, which is estimated to be fully operational in 2025. The new steel mill will employ 800 full-time teammates producing up to 3 million tons per year at one of the most technologically advanced sheet mills. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in Excel and other MS Office products.
- At least one year of experience in administrative or customer service roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Receptionist/ Front Desk Experience.
- Prior experience in HR, A/P or Purchasing activities.
