Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Receiving Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receiving process, ensuring accurate inventory control, and leading a team to optimize warehouse efficiency. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of goods and materials in our distribution center, supporting our commitment to excellence in logistics and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Supervise the receiving department, ensuring all incoming shipments are accurately processed and recorded. Implement and maintain effective inventory management practices to ensure optimal stock levels. Oversee the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing logistics. Collaborate with other departments to improve processes related to shipping & receiving and overall warehouse operations. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards within the warehouse environment. Train, mentor, and manage warehouse staff, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere focused on performance improvement. Conduct regular audits of inventory control processes to identify areas for enhancement. Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues related to materials handling and forklift operations. Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline shipping processes.

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor, with a strong understanding of e-commerce logistics. Familiarity with inventory control systems and practices. Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, including heavy lifting protocols. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce. Experience in process improvement initiatives within a warehouse setting. Understanding of materials handling techniques and safety regulations (OSHA). Forklift certification preferred; mechanical knowledge is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
