Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Entry level technician job in testing, quality, engineering or other technical area. Work may be in a laboratory, test area, product documentation/information team, manufacturing area, or pilot plant. Collects/records data and provides accurate test reports and manufacturing documents (MSI, LOTO, Work Instructions). Ability to take direction from others on requirements to provide data back to aid in determining work methods. May build and test models developed by other technicians/technologists/engineers. Participates in continuous improvement activities. Works with limited supervision.

POSITION PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs technical support for assigned work area. Report recommendations for improvements to technical issues. Develop basic prototypes and fixtures by carrying out concepts developed by others. Carry out test/work requests. Creates MSI, LOTO, and Standard work documentation. Performs safety assessment activities. Carry out general maintenance of equipment and tools. Take direction and provide input to project teams in order to maintain timelines. Maintain detailed documentation of the respective functional area with direction Continuous education On occasion, provides demonstrations or trains others on basic products/processes.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Experience in an engineering or research environment acquired through a course of specialized study (typically, a degree or certificate program) or equivalent on the job training and work Strong interest and basic aptitude to work in a technical or scientific field Understanding of the basic principles and operation of a work area

COMPENSATION:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $21.80-$31.60.
