Quality Control Laboratory Technician - 2nd Shift

Diamond Vogel has a full-time position available in the Quality Control Laboratory of our aerosol paint facility in Menomonee Falls, WI. This person will provide key contributions to the manufacture of products meeting know quality standards. This is a 2nd shift role; hours are 3:00 pm to 1:30 am Monday through Thursday. Fridays can be mandatory overtime.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect, test, and measure materials, products, and processes to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Manage Corrections on batches that are out of specifications.

Conduct regular audits and checks on production lines and blending to monitor compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Document inspection results, maintain records, and prepare reports for management.

Identify defects or non-conformances in products and work with production teams to find root causes.

Use measuring tools, testing equipment, and software to verify product accuracy and consistency.

Follow established quality procedures and work with leaders to adjust as needed.

Collaborate with supervisors and chemists to develop corrective actions and process improvements in the lab and in formulas.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, customer requirements, and internal standards.

Maintain retain for orders ran in production and document for future use.

Monitor trends in quality performance and suggest continuous improvement initiatives.

Other duties may be assigned.

Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

The ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematical skills is required

This position exists inside a manufacturing lab environment, so the ability to spend much of your shift on your feet and to occasionally lift materials up to 40 pounds is required.

Basic computer skills are required

High school diploma or equivalent GED is required

Prior experience in a lab environment is preferred

Prior experience as a technician in a chemical manufacturing environment is a differentiator.

Prior experience in color-matching is a differentiator

This position is for an early 2nd shift (3 pm - 1:30 am) Monday through Thursday, with infrequent overtime on Fridays.
