Job Description


Perform any final inspection operations on sub/major assemblies, production, derivative model aircraft upon completion of sub/major assembly operations and installation in accordance with individual job assignments.
Follow standard inspection procedures, drawings, and specifications; check sheets and other written or oral instructions to perform any major assembly inspection duties.
Work with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and other departments, as required, to solve unusual problems affecting production/inspection, make recommendations embodying operation changes, and develop and demonstrate the feasibility of new methods and procedures.
Independently perform comprehensive inspection of derivative model major assemblies and installations.
Assure latest model revisions are incorporated
into assemblies and installations and contact and
work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing
Engineering and other departments on problems
related to drawings, operation sheets, etc.
Complete necessary paperwork for final
clearance and release to Final Assembly status.
As occasion requires, evaluate the conditions
and requirements of aircraft returned for
overhaul and repair.
Perform detail specification checks and other related inspection duties as directed
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a well-rounded knowledge of aircraft inspection procedures, manufacturing functions, and assembly and installation operations. Also requires ability to read and interpret complicated drawings, use precision measuring instruments, follow engineering orders and instructions, and interpret military and commercial specifications according to inspection practices. Requires 2-years high school plus 2 to 3 years of trades training, or an A & P license or equivalent. Must maintain current certification as required for skill level in occupational group.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
