Your Role: The Quality Engineer - Manual Tester is responsible for the design, development and execution of manual test cases as part of the feature and functional test activity for software applications and mobile applications. The Quality Engineer - Manual Tester will determine our test strategy across multiple dependencies, locales and device types and implement highly scalable quality solutions to enable both UI (web and device level) and back-end testing. You must be able to understand software internals, debug problems and advance sophisticated problems to other technical teams including reporting of performance bottlenecks.

A Quality Engineer - Manual Tester is a strong, passionate and dedicated manual tester with the skills and experience to support our development efforts and help us deliver outstanding products to our clients. This role is focused on manual QA testing in all its forms. In this role, you\'ll be a guardian of our final products\' fit and finish. You will be able to dive into many aspects of responsive website development, contribute to a strategy for testing design integrity and functionality, and be responsible for quantifying and improving data quality across every project we deliver. Your job is to keep our ridiculously high-quality bar set ridiculously high, and to help us identify and complete ways to raise it even higher by ensuring that products and services meet the established standards set by CSAA while following all industry standards like TMMi and IEEE.

The Quality Engineer - Manual Tester will work with Software Development Engineers and Business Owners to understand business drivers and technical implementation of features. Quality Engineer - Manual Tester works with groups such as Product Management to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real-world environments and regression tests. You must have experience in diagnosing project release problems and taking corrective action, such as escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve results. The Quality Engineer - Manual Tester is responsible for driving software development process toward quality-centric methodologies and for reporting on test progress, metrics, issues and risks. All test and defect activities will be executed per project plans and schedules, while adhering to defined quality standards and reported through established tracking tools and systems. Your work:

Perform work under general supervision.

Handle moderate to complex issues and problems and works with high-level staff on more complex issues.

Create test strategies, plans and test cases for large scale products.

Conduct root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures.

Contribute heavily to the production defect resolution process. May work with QA teams on internal audit needs.

Efficiently execute test cases across all functional areas of our products.

Peer review test cases of those of lower-level QA Staff.

Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines.

Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.

Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.

Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.

Write & perform advanced SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data.

Mentor, train, and support team members in application testing.

Ensure QA processes adhere to quality standards.

Experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies

Ability to create non-functional requirements and translate business requirements into non-functional requirements

Proven ability to trace given transactions through a complex system and document how they interact

Bachelor\'s degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience

2 - 3 years of relative experience

Shows respect for differences through excellent communication skills with people from an array of backgrounds.

The national average salary range for this position is $92,070-$102,300 . However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range hourly rate range for this position across all the states we hire in is $73,700- $122,800 . This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay.
