Job Description

Our client is a global manufacturer of Automotive parts and components with customers including Toyota, Honda and Nissan. With multiple locations in Illinois, they are continuing to grow and building out 3 new production lines in 2023. They seek a Quality Engineer to join their team.

• Assuring product, process, and system quality requirements are determined and implemented
• Investigate and resolve machinery, quality, and efficiency issues and error-proofing
• Consistent communication and follow-up with production and customers
• Defining, analyzing and resolving issues effectively and responsibly
• Maintaining records and making sure procedures are followed
• Writing standard work instructions
• Implement manufacturing processes that include Continuous Improvement, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, Process Flow, Corrective Action Process, and Problem Solving Methodologies (5-Why, 8D, etc.)
• Perform and coordinate internal audits/training to ensure continuing compliance with Quality System Standards and the manufacture of safe products

Established Automotive Company, Tier 1 Supplier|Starts with 4 Weeks PTO!

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, preferred
• Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred
• 1+ year of Manufacturing/Quality experience, automotive or metal experience preferred
• Familiarity with AIAG Core Tools, such as APQP, PPAP and pFMEA
• Experience with root cause investigations and CAPAs
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949

• Base Salary, dependent on experience, between $60,000 - $75,000
