We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to perform dimensional and in-process inspection (IPI) of precision parts used in aerospace, medical device, and telecommunications applications. This role works closely with the production team to ensure product quality, process control, and compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform in-process inspections (IPI) and final inspections of precision components
Conduct dimensional measurements using hand tools and advanced metrology equipment
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to support quality at the source
Identify nonconforming parts and initiate corrective actions as required
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
Ensure compliance with quality standards such as AS9100, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001
Assist with internal and external audits when needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in quality inspection or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
Excellent attendance and reliability
Ability to maintain a professional attitude under pressure
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
CMM experience highly preferred (programming and/or operation)
Experience with optical comparators.
Familiarity with regulated industries (aerospace, medical device, telecommunications)
Knowledge of quality systems and documentation requirements
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, sit, and move between workstations as required
Ability to handle precision parts and inspection equipment
