We are seeking a QC Chemist to become an integral part of our growing team! As the QC Chemist, you will perform routine and non-routine chemical analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal specifications and regulatory requirements. This role provides technical support to production, assists in troubleshooting analytical issues, and contributes to continuous improvement activities within the Quality Control Laboratory.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses using techniques such as GC-MS, LC, Rheometer, FTIR, UV-Vis, Particle Size Analyzer, Spectrophotometer, titration, wet chemistry, and Microbiological Tests.
Perform method validations, verifications, and transfers as assigned.
Execute testing of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and stability samples following approved methods, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
Review and interpret analytical data; document all results accurately in laboratory notebooks, logbooks, and electronic systems.
Participate in investigations of out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
Change disposition of raw materials, intermediates, and bulk goods from QC after evaluation (APPROVED/REJECTED/REWORK).
Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Ensure all testing activities comply with cGMP, GLP, and company quality standards.
Train and mentor junior chemists or laboratory technicians as needed.
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and presenting data.
Assist in writing, revising, and reviewing laboratory SOPs, test methods, and reports.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety in accordance with EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) requirements.
Provide backup responsibilities to other QC team members.
Other duties as deemed necessary by management.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a Quality Control or Analytical Laboratory environment REQUIRED
BA/BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field REQUIRED.
o Master's degree preferred
Experience in cGMP-regulated industries (cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food science, nutraceutical, or chemical manufacturing)
Solid understanding of cGMP, GLP, and regulatory compliance
Experience with LIMS or electronic data systems preferred
