Debt.com is looking for a proactive Media Relations and PR Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for proactive outreach to media outlets and publications to gain media coverage and links to build brand awareness and grow organic traffic.

You will be accountable for media placements, editorial opportunities, and link building. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer (AP style) and passionate about growing the business and securing publicity.

We are seeking a focused, reliable multi-tasker who can quickly deliver in a fast-paced marketing department and is excited to share new ideas and collaborate with team members to grow the brand. We are looking for people who know how to write compelling copy and can sell your ideas to the media.

Responsibilities include:

• Execution and optimization of digital PR programs.
• Identify key media targets/publisher opportunities to create engagement.
• Developing strategies to engage writers, high-traffic and domain authority websites and broadcast media.
• Create and implement an on-going press release calendar and media opportunities.
• Showcase the company\xe2\x80\x99s value proposition and work effectively to deliver key messages to the media/marketplace.
• Monitoring and continuously improving online coverage.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in digital marketing and public relations
• Proven ability to grow brand awareness and engage target audiences
• Punctual and deadline driven
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent command of English language, writing, editing and computer skills
• College Degree in PR, Marketing, or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Experience:

• 3-4 years experience as an in-house PR specialist, or an account specialist at an public relation agency or a PIO or media relations lead at a governmental office/agency.
