Public Relations Account Executive (Tech & Cybersecurity) - Boston or Newburyport, MA (Hybrid: In office Mon-Thurs)

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a creative and driven PR Account Executive to join our Tech team! The ideal candidate will have experience working with cybersecurity companies, either within an agency or in-house corporate environment. They must be results-oriented with a keen understanding of the cybersecurity media landscape and have a working knowledge of industry trends and thought leadership topics.

Here\xe2\x80\x99s the mix of what you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing day to day:

• Generating creative ideas to help drive client PR and media relations programs; proactively offers recommendations and ideas to the program and shares recommendations with clients on how to use industry news and trends to impact their programs.
• Pursuing and securing media opportunities (trade, consumer, business media, etc.) for clients; builds and nurtures strong relationships with media contacts
• Delivering high-quality writing in the of form pitches, press releases, bylines, case studies, blogs, etc
• Mentoring and managing junior team members\xe2\x80\x99 involvement in projects and initiatives
• Participating in new business opportunities \xe2\x80\x93 either with research, creation of media playbooks and/or attending and having a role in the meetings

Along with creativity, drive and self-motivation, your previous experience and attributes will include:

• 2-4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in public relations and/or media relations is required for this role.
• Prior experience in Tech and Cybersecurity PR is highly desirable.
• Prior PR agency background and client relations experience is strongly preferred.
• Adaptable, engaged, and nimble in environments that can be dynamic or fast-paced.
• A lifelong learner with an inquisitive mind and eye for detail
• Collaborative, dependable, and a team player excited to promote a positive work environment
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent relevant business experience
