DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Public Health Program Associate 1, you will review applications for Medical Marijuana Organizations (MMO) medical marijuana products, marketing and promotional materials, packaging and labeling, and provides recommendations for approval. The position reports directly to the Public Health Program Administrator for Research and Product Compliance.

You will study assigned medical marijuana policies and procedures regarding products, marketing, promotional materials, and product packaging and labeling. Also, study assigned material on current research studies for medical marijuana products.

Other duties include searches and pulls down applications from compliance resource email account and supports the organization of the mailbox including storing emails appropriately on SharePoint. Reviews applications for MMO medical marijuana products, marketing and promotional materials, packaging and labeling, and provides recommendations for approval or denial. Reviews recommendation for approval or denial of application with Public Health Program Associate 2 and/or Public Health Program Administrator, as appropriate. Identifies and reports on methods to improve process to review medical marijuana products, marketing, promotional materials, and product packaging and labeling. Assists in developing and implementing methods to increase participation in medical marijuana product studies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 1-hour lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • A bachelor\'s degree in health, social or behavioral sciences, statistics, or a related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
