: The psychotherapist will provide trauma-focused/specialized clinical services, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy, to primary and secondary victims of police misconduct.
Responsibilities
:
Assists civilians in recovering from the physical, emotional, and financial impact of trauma
Provides crisis intervention, safety planning, and information/referrals to victims/witnesses of police misconduct
Provide individual, group and family therapy to innocent victims of police misconduct
Develop and write treatment plans, clinical notes and various other documentation
Provides support and assistance to civilians navigating the process
Maintain a caseload of 15-20 civilians
Uses phone, email, and in-person meetings to make contact and follow-ups with civilians
Participate in weekly individual supervision and group supervision, as well as training, staff meetings, etc.
Provide all other crime victim services as needed.
Produce monthly reports as required by the agency and funders.
Notifies civilians of any status changes in case proceedings, such as hearing
Requirements:
Master's Degree in Social Work
NYS License Master's Social Worker
2 years of experience working with survivors of trauma
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
