Property Manager - Recovery Community Housing (Multiple Homes)

Position Summary:

The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and resident compliance across multiple recovery residences. This role ensures that all homes are safe, well-maintained, and aligned with the mission of providing supportive housing for individuals in recovery. A key responsibility of this position is ensuring that all residents meet their financial obligations, including timely rent payments, while maintaining a structured, respectful, and recovery-focused living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the overall operations of multiple recovery residences, including maintenance, cleanliness, and safety standards

Ensure rent is collected on time from all residents; issue reminders, track payments, and address delinquencies according to policy

Conduct regular inspections of all homes to ensure property standards are met and house rules are followed

Coordinate maintenance and repair work with internal staff and outside vendors to address property needs promptly

Monitor occupancy, facilitate room assignments, and participate in move-in/move-out processes

Enforce resident housing agreements, including behavioral expectations and financial responsibilities, in a firm but respectful manner

Collaborate with case managers, peer support staff, and clinical teams to promote housing stability and recovery success

Support conflict resolution among residents and help maintain a peaceful, recovery-conducive environment

Maintain compliance with local housing regulations, fire safety codes, and organizational policies

Prepare and submit regular reports on rent collection, occupancy, maintenance needs, and resident issues

Be available to respond to urgent property issues across all homes as needed, including after-hours emergencies

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in human services, business, or property management preferred

Experience managing multiple residential properties, preferably in a recovery, supportive housing, or nonprofit setting

Strong understanding of housing operations, rent collection practices, and basic property maintenance

Familiarity with recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and supportive housing models is highly desirable

Excellent communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across various locations

Proficient with property management software and Microsoft Office tools

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with individuals in recovery or vulnerable populations

Knowledge of landlord/tenant laws and housing compliance requirements

Bilingual skills are a plus

Pay: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
