We are seeking a Staff Scientist to join our Tampa, FL team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Atlas is seeking a mid level Project Scientist/Project Manager with 3 or more years of experience to perform field and office work related to Environmental Investigations, Site Assessments, Petroleum Assessment and Remediation, Subcontractor Management, and other various task associated with environmental assessment and remediation.
  • Candidate must have the ability to travel overnight up to 10% of the time
  • Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, and abide by Atlas\' health and safety policies and procedures.
  • OSHA 40 hour hazwoper training a plus.
  • Candidate experience in petroleum LUST investigations and/or remediation preferred.
  • Applicants with EIT, PE, or PG certification preferred
  • Duties will include field and office project tasks related to investigating the nature and extent of impacts and/or developing and implementing cleanup and closure activities
Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
  • Atlas is looking for a candidate located in Tampa, FL area.
  • B.S. in a related environmental field, engineering, biology, or geology required, Master Degree a plus
  • 3+ years of experience conducting environmental remediation and/or due diligence work.
  • Remediation Experience
  • Underground Storage Tank Assessment and Remediation
  • FDEP experience a plus
  • Experience with Phase I and Phase II ESAs / Subsurface Investigations a plus
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license required as fieldwork and site travel is involved
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Should be able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects with minimal supervision to meet established
deadlines * Must have competent computer knowledge including Microsoft Office; must be able to enter, record, store, or

maintain information in written or electronic form * Must possess a good understanding of trade and technical terminology, including knowledge and understanding

of ASTM E 1527. * Licensed to complete asbestos surveys, radon testing, and lead-based paint inspections a plus

Technical Requirements:
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, Surfer a plus
  • Familiarity with laboratory analytical reports
Other miscellaneous qualities:
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Experience completing biological surveys a plus
  • Preferred certifications include 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification, but not required
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies
  • Technical Report writing
  • Field sampling and monitoring for soil, soil vapor, and groundwater
  • Abide by ATLAS health and safety policies and procedures
