Responsibilities

As a member of the Corporate Security Team, the Project Manager - Security Programs (Training & Awareness) will:

Support the enhancement and execution of the Corporate Security Training & Awareness program, which includes physical security, cybersecurity and information security training and awareness activities to ensure that Avangrid employees and contractors understand, acknowledge, and ultimately fulfill their obligations to protect Avangrid assets. The overall goal of the security awareness program is to cultivate a culture of security that reduces risk by ensuring all users understand security policies and practice good security hygiene. This includes but is not limited to:
- Design, develop and deliver training and awareness programs based on industry subject matter expertise, regulatory requirements and best practice and be able to respond to questions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing training, education, and awareness program/activities, including phishing campaigns.
- Assist with creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards that can effectively measure engagement, behaviors, and impact. Adjust training program accordingly.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the annual training and awareness plans, including designing and running comprehensive awareness for events such as all employee/contractor webinars, data privacy week, cybersecurity awareness month, insider threat awareness month and critical infrastructure awareness month.
- Participate in weekly T&A meetings, working closely with Corporate Communications and members of Corporate Security team.
- Develop security communications within AVANGRID, including regular newsletters, awareness articles, CSO messages, etc.
- Manage the companies Phishing Program, including metrics and reporting.

  • Assist with the collection, analysis, and reporting of key security metrics for Corporate Security - support the development and implementation of a metrics dashboard.
  • Assist with the management and continued growth of the Business Security Liaison (BSL) Program to include - promoting the program, increasing and/or maintaining the appropriate number of BSLs based on organization structure and business areas. Facilitate monthly BSL calls and training. Engage BSLs in awareness activities.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain content on the Corporate Security SharePoint page.
  • Participate in external industry organization forums, meetings, training sessions to keep up to date on trends and training awareness best practices.
  • Assist with the planning and facilitation of Corporate Security off-site summit(s).
  • Participate in global working groups, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in related field or;
  • Associate degree in related field and 5 years relevant work experience or;
  • 10 years relevant work experience is required
Preferences:
  • Experience building education and awareness training initiatives, preferably security related, in a large organization.
  • Marketing and/or communications background is a plus.
  • Experience managing Cofense, KnowBe4 or a similar phishing education platform.
  • Experience creating educational media and supplemental material to teach common security and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Security Awareness and Culture Professional Certification a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI development.
  • Knowledge of ISO, NIST, SOX or other security compliance frameworks considered a plus.
  • Ability to work in a complex global environment.
Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously, with minimal day-to-day guidance and can own problems through resolution.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization, strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proven ability to communicate and educate both technical and non-technical employees and contractors on the importance of security functions and responsibilities in a business.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to produce graphs and tables, use spreadsheets efficiently, and perform complex calculations.
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Create training and customize vendor provided content to include in our training program.
  • Ability to develop marketing materials and manage awareness campaigns.
