Project Manager – It, Network Services & Structured Cabling

Job Description

DMS is a leading provider of IT infrastructure, network services, and structured cabling solutions. We partner with commercial office clients and data centre operators across the U.S. to deliver high-performance, scalable, and reliable network environments.

We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager with proven experience managing and delivering projects in commercial office and data centre environments. This role requires both strategic oversight and practical, on-site involvement to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities



Plan, coordinate, and manage IT, network services, and structured cabling projects from initiation through completion. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and accountability. Oversee site surveys, installations, testing, and commissioning activities. Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, tracking progress and managing changes. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and client specifications. Provide hands-on support when needed, including equipment inspections, quality checks, and troubleshooting. Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring timely delivery and performance. Prepare regular project reports and documentation for stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement in project execution, workflows, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications



5+ years of project management experience in IT infrastructure, network services, or structured cabling projects. Strong background in commercial office buildouts and data centre environments. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced settings. Hands-on technical knowledge of structured cabling (Cat6a, fiber optics), network hardware, and data centre infrastructure. Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scope documents. PMP, PMI, RCDD, BICSI certifications, or equivalent experience preferred.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
