We are seeking a
Project Manager
to lead initiatives at the intersection of
cybersecurity, healthcare IT, and compliance
. This new position will support projects that strengthen information security, modernize IT systems, and ensure compliance with healthcare-related regulations.
Required Qualifications
5 years of
Project Management
experience.
5 years of
Cybersecurity knowledge
, including familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and related standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA).
5 years of experience working in an
IT environment
.
3+ years of experience managing
healthcare or public health IT security projects
.
Experience with
security and IT compliance
related to
CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS
.
Prior experience with
state agencies
in a project management role.
PMP certification
.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent of 5 years of related work experience.
Key Responsibilities
Healthcare IT & Security Projects
- Manage projects that directly support healthcare operations, security, and compliance with standards such as HIPAA, CDC, and CJIS.
Project Documentation & Analysis
- Prepare needs analyses, business cases, and feasibility studies to support healthcare security and IT initiatives.
Project Lifecycle Management
- Oversee all phases of small to mid-sized projects (initiation through closeout) with a focus on cybersecurity and healthcare IT modernization.
Project Coordination & Methodology
- Apply established project management methodologies to ensure alignment with healthcare and security objectives.
Work Planning & Communication
- Develop detailed work plans, manage scope, budget, and schedule, and provide updates to leadership and stakeholders.
Status Reporting & Change Management
- Deliver regular status reports, coordinate change requests, and recommend adjustments to project specifications.

- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with federal/state laws, agency policies, and healthcare cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST CSF, FISMA).
