Job Summary Receive, test, diagnose, repair, and program RF equipment including mobile and handheld two-radios, repeaters, POC devices, and accessory equipment; Remotely assist field service technicians by providing programming information and support as needed; Program and provision POC devices; Assist in shipping, receiving and inventory upkeep as directed; Assist service coordinator and inside sales with technical knowledge on part selection and identification; Coordinate factory warranty repair; Assist in the staging, programming and testing of dispatch consoles and simulcast systems as directed. Job Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Demonstration of our core values at all times \xc2\xb7 Assist Service Coordinator and Inside Sales with technical knowledge for part selection and identification \xc2\xb7 Use of service management software to ensure proper record documentation and process flow \xc2\xb7 Field inbound technician and customer support phone calls \xc2\xb7 Use of a RF Service monitor to test equipment and understand readings \xc2\xb7 Test and program portable and mobile two-way radios \xc2\xb7 Test and program RF repeaters \xc2\xb7 Program and provision POC devices \xc2\xb7 Engrave radio cases and housings as directed \xc2\xb7 Create/modify code plugs \xc2\xb7 Test, diagnose and repair portable and handheld radios, repeaters and BDAs \xc2\xb7 Provide quotes for repair estimates to include parts and labor costs \xc2\xb7 Coordinate factory/warranty service repairs and assist with shipping and receiving of these items \xc2\xb7 Maintain a collection of programming and testing equipment to include programming cables \xc2\xb7 Maintain a database of firmware, software and files needed to program new and legacy equipment \xc2\xb7 Stay up to date with the newest releases and updates of all firmware for our products and services \xc2\xb7 Create technician step by step how to guides as directed Skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team \xc2\xb7 Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products \xc2\xb7 Strong multitasking, time management, and prioritization skills \xc2\xb7 Excellent organizational skills and initiative are preferred \xc2\xb7 Strong foundation and understanding of technology \xc2\xb7 Ability to follow a detailed process \xc2\xb7 Self-motivated and directed \xc2\xb7 Understanding of Ohms law and basic low voltage electrical work \xc2\xb7 Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in a systematic approach Educational Requirements High School Diploma Preference to: Technical training and certifications (OSHA, Motorola, Kenwood, Harris, EF Johnson) RF or IT background Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits:
