Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Supervisor - Undergraduate Medical Education (UME).

Under the director of the Department of Medicine Clerkship Directors, the Program Supervisor will oversee all Department of Medicine clerkships and serve as the primary coordinator for the Medicine (inpatient) Clerkship.
The Program Supervisor will be responsible for managing all departmental and clerkship logistics, including but not limited to Department of Medicine Clerkships, UME projects, educational activities, residency advising and applications, visiting student programs, summer fellowship programs, and all other departmental needs as requested. Additionally, as coordinator, this person will perform various administrative tasks, including but not limited to managing of schedules for Medicine clerkship students, maintaining and updating the COMET assessment site for students, maintaining and updating Brightspace site for clerkship, and managing student assignments for Medicine.
Job Responsibilities:
Team work between coordinators of all four clerkships in the Department of Medicine
      • Set meetings, as necessary, to discuss goals of the team and upcoming events for each clerkship
      • Ensure that each coordinator feel supported and have the necessary manpower for main events of their clerkships
      • Provide a welcoming and supportive environment, so that the coordinators will become a more cohesive team that individual coordinators for each clerkship
      • Coordinate with clerkship directors to make sure that clerkships are running smoothly
      • Delegate additional tasks and projects to other coordinators as necessary
Medicine Clerkship
      • Coordinate medical student schedules with Clerkship Director and chief resident to include orientation activities, rotation schedules at all affiliated hospitals, lecture schedules, meetings, Saturday conferences and Humanistic Medicine sessions.
      • Assist with the maintenance of the Brightspace (the NYU School of Medicine\xe2\x80\x99s Learning Management System) site as it pertains to the Clerkships.
      • Plan and organize logistics, such as booking conference room and ordering food and beverages for clerkship events.
      • Demonstrate initiative with new student education related programs.
Residency Advisor Reception
      • Advisory Reception
        • Held once a year during June for about 100 students and faculty members
        • Plan logistics, such as coordinating date depending on Dr. Abramson and Dr. Cocks\xe2\x80\x99 availabilities and hiring NYU Catering for food and beverages
      • Student Letters of Recommendation
        • Students request Departmental Letters of Recommendation when applying to their residency once a year throughout the months of July \xe2\x80\x93 September. Approximately 100 letters of recommendation uploaded into ERAS/academic year
        • Review and submit all letters with ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service)
      • Students in 3-Yr Pathway
        • Facilitate the mentoring process
        • Coordinate Clerkship activities
        • Invite students to important Departmental programs
Education Council Meetings
      • Reserve room for monthly meeting
      • Take meeting minutes and send to Dr. LoCurcio for review
      • Email reminders to faculty members must include approved minutes from the meeting two months ago, draft minutes of the most recent meeting, and meeting agenda
Medicine Research Concentrations Program
      • Work with Dr. LoCurcio and Dr. Stern in preparation of the research concentrations
      • Applications from students are due on March
      • Updated DOM website to include a centralize location for all divisions
Summer Fellowship Program (Internal Medicine Fellowship)
      • The Fellowship includes five (5) paid research fellowships for 1st year students. Students present their work at the Department of Medicine Research Day in the Spring. Through this program, they also have the opportunity to participate in the Honors Program.
      • Coordinate, along with a delegated program associate and Dr. Jen Adams to plan for applications
      • Continue communication with Dr. Jen Adams to ensure that the program is running smoothly
Finances
      • Work on budgeting finances for materials and Medicine events
NYU Department of Medicine Website
    • Work with Web Team to update content on DOM UME webpage and sub-pages to reflect on-going changes.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of internal and external customers. Demonstrate customer service skills, including the ability to use appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity. Ability to effectively handle challenging situations and to balance multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to multi-task and balance competing demands. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $83,487.98 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
