Administer the quality assurance program based on guidelines from the National CASA program. Ensure that assigned county offices of the Cass McCarter Guardian ad Litem program are in compliance with Department of Children\'s Advocacy (DCA) GAL standards. Assist in identifying best practices that add value to work processes, provide positive feedback and/or feedback for improvement.

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Coordinator:

  • Performs quality assurance audits of assigned county offices. Tracks compliance of policies, procedures, state and federal laws, regulations, and agency best practices. Meet with county directors to examine findings and provide support. Prepare, review, and distribute reports from agency databases to assess accuracy of data entry.
  • Coordinate archiving and shredding for assigned regions by adhering to Department of Children\'s Advocacy destroying and archiving guidelines.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Director with external audits for the agency.
  • Perform direct child advocacy as the court appointed Guardian ad Litem when there is an inadequate pool of volunteers and staff to serve in this capacity.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor\'s degree and relevant program experience. A High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered with an approved equivalence by the Division of State Human Resources (DSHR).

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to exercise judgment and exercise discretion concerning confidential information.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partner agencies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize scheduling required.
  • Knowledge and expertise in the subject-area of quality assurance.
  • Able to interpret policy.
  • Knowledge of conducting internal audits and proper record keeping.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations to improve result

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of law and policy regarding child-serving agencies\' procedures and experience with conducting investigations.
