This position is located in the DC Office of Risk Management (DCORM). DCORM provides risk management direction, guidance, and support to District government agencies. Primary responsibilities are analyzing current and proposed operating program(s) to evaluate their actual or potential effectiveness in achieving objectives, and monitoring projects and special assignments. Duties and Responsibilities Plans, develops, and conducts program analyses of substantial scale and impact concerning all aspects of current or projected operating programs for actual or potential effectiveness in achieving planned goals and objectives. Develops, maintains, and monitors projects, and integrated reporting system(s) affecting program(s) throughout the agency. Communicates information to supervisor for effective evaluation of program operations and milestones. Analyzes, extracts, summarizes, and identifies significant trends and issues. Forecasts and estimates program requirements and prepares programmatic reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data, etc., for presentations and briefings. Conducts management surveys, audits, projects, etc., and provides advisory services to operating or management officials. Oversees execution of programs of broad scope and mission impact. Reviews and interprets new and established directives, instructions, regulations, and delegations of authority for potential impact on major program objectives, operating policies, work operations, and progress. Assures program goals, objectives, and operations. Prepares internal instructions, operating policies, procedures, and guidelines concerning assigned program(s) and recommends required changes and adjustments to assure proper and adequate accomplishment of program goals and objectives. Qualifications and Education Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position and has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, the incumbent must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression. Licenses/Certifications None Working Conditions/Environment The work is primarily sedentary and is performed in a normal office setting. Other Significant Facts Screening: Every 10 days; starting March 14, 2023 Tour of Duty: Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday; 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Duration of Appointment: Career Service Term Appointment \xe2\x80\x93 Not-To-Exceed (NTE) 13 months. A Term employee does not acquire permanent status on the basis of his/her term appointment. Continued employment under this appointment is contingent upon availability of funding. Pay Plan, Series and Grade: CS-0343-12 Promotion Potential: No known promotion potential Collective Bargaining Unit (Non-Union): This position is not in a collective bargaining unit. Position Designation: This position has been designated as security sensitive therefore the incumbent of this position will be subject to enhanced suitability screening pursuant to Chapter 4 of DC Personnel Regulations, Suitability and as such, incumbents of this position shall be subject to criminal background checks, background investigations, and mandatory drug and alcohol testing, as applicable.
