The Product Marketing Strategist will be responsible for defining, messaging, and positioning the value of Zayo\xe2\x80\x99s product portfolio in the market. Working closely with the Product Management and Marketing teams, this role will launch new products and solutions; enable global sales and channel teams; build go-to-market strategies; and evangelize innovations with customers and prospects. Attention to detail and an eye for quality is critical to success, along with an ability to grasp and present product value propositions to different market segments in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our buyers\xe2\x80\x99 problems. Success in the role will be based on achieving revenue targets by product line.


Responsibilities


  • Develop deep expertise in your product line, leveraging various data sources to understand market trends, competitor strategies, customer requirements, and buying behavior to identify market opportunities and customer demand.

  • Provide input and recommendations into the product roadmap, strategy, and pricing based on sales, market, and customer research findings, industry analyst interactions, and competitive findings.

  • Develop and activate positioning, buyer personas, value propositions, and messaging that differentiate Zayo in the marketplace and resonate with target audiences.

  • Collaborate with other marketing functions such as revenue, corporate, and channel marketing to ensure Zayo\xe2\x80\x99s products, solutions, and services are accurately reflected in programs, campaigns, digital marketing, events, etc.

  • Partner with sales enablement to educate the sales about the value of Zayo\xe2\x80\x99s products, solutions, and services.

  • Oversee the production of product-related content, including (but not limited to) white papers, presentations, blogs, case studies, solution briefs, web content, data sheets, battlecards, and sales playbooks.

  • Build and execute product launch strategies in partnership with Product Management and broader Marketing teams.

  • Develop materials for analyst engagements.

  • Act as a subject matter expert at key industry events.



Qualifications

  • Analytical approach that can rapidly assess a business problem, structure, and evaluate.

  • Strong research abilities, including customer segmentation and competitive intelligence.

  • Strong writing skills, with experience publishing product-centric content like blogs, e-books, whitepapers, etc

  • Ability to quickly deliver executive-level presentations, which enable us to uplevel and act on data and insights real-time.

  • Demonstrated experience in product and technology marketing, including the ability to take technical concepts and communicate them to both business and technical audiences

  • Compelling storyteller with a strategic and analytical mindset who can engage and educate customers and prospects.

  • Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects and thrive in a fast-paced, transformation-oriented environment.

  • Strong persuasion skills and ability to gain consensus through influence.

  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization with a virtual team.

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business or marketing; or relevant experience



Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience with exposure in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)

  • Experience in telecommunications or related technology industry.

  • Experience with technologies like Fiber & Transport, Packet, SD-WAN, Edge Computing, Voice & Collaboration.


Base pay range: $65,600 - $96,250, commensurate with experience
