We are currently seeking a Product Development Engineering Manager to join our team to lead product innovation in design, validation, and launch phases.


RESPONSIBILITIES:




We are looking for a high energy, self-motivated person with strong technical leadership and communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to manage and lead product design and development activities in a customer focused, 'make it happen' environment.


Lead a cross-functional engineering team responsible for entire product design cycle with effective tracking and reporting of status to internal and external stakeholders Ensure completion of engineering deliverables such as DFx, FEA / thermal analysis, product qualification documentation, product roadmaps, competitive analysis, and critical timelines and status. Own design validation, providing a complete package of evidence that the design meets all customer requirements + Supports global manufacturing sites in localization and qualification of products
Work closely with NPI and manufacturing engineering to ensure transition of products to manufacturing. + Makes sure the product is ready for production
Select, develop and coach individuals and build a highly motivated and high performing global team. Find a way to get things done and build the team ~ 10% travel, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:



Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from a four-year university with 4+ years related experience and/or training within the connector industry, preferred. Demonstrated technical leadership ability in the wire and cable industry Demonstrated engineering management ability Advanced technical degree or MBA highly recommended Must be highly literate with Office software; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook Ability to operate with minimal supervision and proactively identify, review, discuss, and resolve problems.
