Job Overview

As a Produce Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the freshness and quality of our produce section. You will be responsible for stocking, organizing, and maintaining the produce displays while providing excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

Stock and rotate produce items to ensure freshness and quality. Use RF scanners to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively. Load and unload deliveries, ensuring all products are handled with care. Assist customers with inquiries regarding produce selection and provide recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department, including proper storage of items. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction. Perform retail math calculations for inventory management and pricing accuracy. Utilize pallet jacks for moving heavy items safely within the store.

Requirements

Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Familiarity with retail sales practices and an understanding of retail math concepts. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with stocking and organizing products. Experience using package handling equipment such as pallet jacks is a plus. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.80 - $14.75 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 40 per week
