Job Description

Brand-Nu Laboratories is a mid-sized distribution and production corporation. Your role in the purchasing department is central to the company\xe2\x80\x99s ability to run efficiently. You must be driven to increase efficiency in the department and be proficient at locating and reducing waste. Responsibilities & Expectations

• Create purchase orders in response to requisitions
• Research materials for availability and pricing
• Maintain relationships with current vendors and negotiate pricing
• Work with supervisors to schedule transit accommodations for critical shipments
• Coordinate closely with manufacturing and warehouse personnel to schedule deliveries to meet their needs
• Expedite material delivery and resolve discrepancies

Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred, or comparable experience
• A team player with the ability to be flexible to changing priorities
• Experience purchasing in manufacturing/distribution environment is a plus
