What you\'ll do...

Job summary:

Provide direct support to Walmart Unemployment Services and stores by reviewing losses of initial claims to assess, determine if appealable and timely filing appeal with supporting evidence.

Prepare evidence and potential hearing witnesses with pertinent information, including but not limited to, case details, specific evidentiary exhibits to be submitted, and general expectations.

Provide continuous improvement recommendations for initial claims process based on learnings and insights gathered from review of initial losses.

What you\'ll do:

Receive and review initial determinations that are unfavorable to assess for potential to appeal.

Prepare relevant documentation central to the appeal for submission as hearing evidence.

Package evidence and label exhibits to submit to judge, claimant, and representatives.

Prepare witness by providing responses to basic questions (first day worked, last day worked, final rate of pay, position, position description, policy violated, description of policy).

Identify key reasons for initial losses to provide continuous improvement feedback to the initial claims process.

Meet minimum quality and productivity expectations for the team.

Support business processes for Global Shared Services creating reports; tracking and analyzing documents, trends, inconsistencies, issues, and results; compiling data and information for business decisions; and submitting reports to management for review.

Assist with special projects for Global Shared Services by working with cross-functional teams (Asset Protection, Central Operations, Accounting and Controls, Global Back Office Solutions (GBOS), Global Process Office, Health and Wellness, Finance, Merchandising, Walmart Technology, third-party vendors).

Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Model compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Preferred Quals:

Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.

1-2 years\' experience in unemployment claims processing, determinations review, HR services, or legal.

Sound logic and problem solving

Effective written and verbal communication.
