Job Summary and Qualifications

Labor and delivery nurses are unique among the different types of nurses because they have a very specific job: to help deliver healthy babies and get moms through the process safely. In essence, they are doing what some might consider the most important nursing job of all \xe2\x80\x94 bringing new lives into this world.

About this unit:

• 9 Labor Suites, 2 ORs, 1 Surgical Recovery and 4 ANTE
• High Acuity Unit with 1500 Deliveries a year
• Team based culture and family environment, collaboration with amazing physician team in a high intensity, constantly changing workflow

Responsibilities:

• Under the general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care.

• Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care is in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state Nursing Practice Acts, ANA Standards of Practice and the generic and unit structure standards

Requirements

• Graduate of a School of Nursing
• Current MO RN license or Multistate RN license from a participating compact state required.
• BCLS required. ACLS and NRP within 6 months of hire date.
