Ideal for applicants with strong knowledge in upper-division Math, Science, English, or Business, the role focuses on providing individualized tutoring and guidance that helps students master challenging concepts and stay on track toward their goals. Tutors foster supportive academic relationships, offer encouragement, and help create a positive learning environment for students at various stages of their educational journey.



In this role, applicants will work closely with a Program Coordinator while developing valuable skills in instruction, communication, progress tracking, and student support. It's a great fit for individuals who are motivated by helping others succeed, enjoy one-on-one engagement, and want to contribute to student achievement in a purposeful, hands-on way.

Summary of Responsibilities

Tutors students one-on-one. Records notes from tutoring sessions. Communicates with Education Counselor. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two or more years of experience tutoring or studying the subject.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge

Advanced knowledge in math, science, business, or English. Advanced knowledge in other areas, such as languages and social sciences, will be considered.

Skills

Effective verbal and written communication. Skills in maintaining accurate records for official files.

Abilities

Ability to relate to a diverse population of students Ability to follow through with assignments, schedules, and appointments. Ability to demonstrate professionalism. Ability to work independently with dependability.
