We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our travel teaching academy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music, particularly in piano instruction, and a genuine love for teaching students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans and fostering a warm learning environment balanced with helping students develop their musical skills. Must be able to commute to Brentwood, Franklin, and Nolensville, TN. Monday-Friday Availability 3pm-7pm preferred.
Responsibilities
Drive to students' homes for lessons. A reliable vehicle is required.
Develop and implement sequential lesson plans tailored to each student's skill level and learning style.
Teach fundamental piano techniques, music theory, and sight-reading skills.
Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student growth and confidence.
Communicate well with parents the expectations and coordinate scheduling.
Prepare students for recitals and showcases.
Participate in continued education to learn new teaching methods, curriculum development, and advancements in music education.
Experience
Candidates should possess some or all of the following qualifications:
Proven experience in teaching piano or music education is preferred.
A degree in music is desired, but not required.
Skills in curriculum development to create effective lesson plans
A desire to teach piano.
