Job Summary: :

WLE Missile Programs Product Support Team is conducting search for an experienced Engineering Service Specialist for a Special Program (Air Power Business Area) located in Tucson, AZ. In this role, you will develop and validate nuclear systems training curricula, support contractor-provided training and execute training events. In addition to your training responsibilities, you\'ll also oversee planning and execution of missile maintenance demonstrations for our customers and will engage in a variety of logistics and sustainment activities.

The Product Support Team is responsible for providing supportability analysis (Spares/Provisioning/LORA/PSS) and leads the drafting of Technical Order procedures in advance of weapon system fielding and prior to major acquisition milestones.

In addition, the Product Support Team assists other integrated product teams in Support Equipment design verification, requirements reviews and verification events, definitions and determinations relating to supportability and nuclear certification, and training development. The team also provides Quality Assurance assistance in support of test events.

This position reports to the Logistic Integrated Product Team Lead within the Special Program at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, Tucson, AZ.

Approximately 25% domestic travel required.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Provide training support.
  • Provide sustainment support in the execution and planning of contractual requirements and program objectives
  • Implement short-term sustainment strategies to support and manage depot repair activities across various functional organizations
  • Manage and prioritize assigned tasks to align with program goals and meet contractual requirements
  • Contribute to successful reviews/audits and customer interchanges on a regular basis
  • Coordinate Government Furnished Property accountability and management
  • Identify, elevate, and communicate risks and opportunities to program and functional management
  • Accountable for meeting the team\'s committed schedule, cost and performance requirements
  • Understand, identify and mitigate short term schedule/contractual risks
  • Leadership Responsibilities
  • Effective communication, both with the team and, horizontally and vertically across the organization
Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically Requires
  • Bachelor\'s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR an Associate\'s degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR a relevant advanced degree and 3 years of experience. A relevant PhD can account for 5 years of experience as required for this role. In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Logistics, sustainment or training experience in a military or civilian environment
  • Experience with training, planning or acquisitions (requirements management preferred)
  • An active and in-scope Secret US Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Value:
  • Relevant nuclear weapons and weapons systems maintenance experience
  • Prior military experience preferred (background with cruise missiles), including Quality Assurance, data analysis, and maintenance management.
  • Experience working in a DoD environment
  • Experience with US Air Force Logistics and Acquisitions
  • Experience with the part repair lifecycle; from acknowledgement of repair needs, to communication with and shipment to repair vendors, to receipt of repairs back at RMD, to testing, to manufacturing floor fulfilment; all to fulfill monthly contract requirements.
  • Experience with training course development and conduct
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainment and supportability principles and concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with individuals at all levels of the program, functional team and Government representatives
  • Ability to identify potential problems and take corrective action as needed
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and experience working in teams as both a member and a leader.
