ROLE SUMMARY
The therapeutic area Marketing Effectiveness role is an opportunity to bring marketing excellence to life at Pfizer. This critical role will bridge the intersection of where excellence standards get practically applied to elevate marketing performance with brand teams in order to address critical marketing performance blockers and opportunities.

This is a new role within Biopharma, directly reporting to the Marketing Effectiveness Lead, and will be responsible for elevating marketing performance and MROI with key global brands. They will serve as strategic partners and honest brokers, partnering with brand teams to solve critical marketing performance gaps.

Success in this role will include demonstrated improvements in MROI by improving the quality, consistency, skills, and rigor of marketing at Pfizer and accelerated application of new, best-in-class marketing tools and capabilities.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Critically assess brand marketing performance across the entire marketing funnel and offer solutions to maximize MROI (HCP and Consumer marketing)
  • Inform marketing investment tradeoff decisions at annual operating plan based on MROI performance metrics (partnering with Biopharma Finance/Brand teams)
  • Identify and address gaps in brand marketing plans, marketing mix against marketing excellence standards
  • Build successful partnerships with GLocal leaders and teams to troubleshoot critical marketing performance gaps, leveraging full-funnel marketing excellence frameworks
  • Act as a key enabler in building a strong marketing performance culture and drive the CMO excellence agenda
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, incl.:
    • Senior Marketing and BU leaders to highlight and troubleshoot risks and opportunities within brand plans and across the TA portfolio
    • Brand teams to optimize application of marketing model, strengthen marketing plans and marketing resource allocation and elevate marketing capabilities
    • CMO teams to ensure marketing model, frameworks and training are practical and applicable to the business and includes latest thinking from brand teams


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\'s degree
  • 15+ years of experience in marketing across several categories/ industries
  • Successful track record of creating and executing marketing strategies in major markets with accountability for decisions and business outcomes; experience with launch brands a plus
  • Strong analytical prowess to conduct root cause analyses to diagnoses and prioritize the right problem/solution (i.e., solve the cause, not the symptom)
  • Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies
  • Executive presence and demonstrated ability to effectively influence senior leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Role model for PFE Values (Courage, Excellence, Equity, Joy)
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-business projects and initiatives, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable the teams to achieve successful delivery
  • Strong writing, presentation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrate ability to thrive under pressure, to take accountability and to meet deadlines
  • Strong project and time management and organizational skills
  • Discretion and trustworthiness in dealing with confidential information
  • Ability to manage and coach direct reports and agile teams


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Advanced degree, MBA Preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of marketing management experience
  • Broad knowledge of Life Sciences and healthcare ecosystems
  • Role will be responsible for multiple geographies, but requires flexibility to work with US time-zone on regular basis

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $185,800.00 to $309,600.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.

Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
