What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant in Primary Care, you'll be a vital part of the patient experience and care team. Your responsibilities include:Preparing patients for provider visits using the Advanced Standard Rooming Process: + Documenting chief complaints + Taking vitals, reviewing history and allergies
+ Completing medication reconciliation
+ Addressing care gaps (e.g., screenings, diabetic eye exams)
+ Rechecking elevated blood pressures
+ Documenting preventive visit details in Epic
Performing in-office testing: + Blood draws, mental status exams, EKGs, oxygen studies, point-of-care testing Administering vaccines and injections within scope Scheduling follow-up appointments per office policy Collaborating with providers and clinical teams to support care plans

Qualifications

Primary Care Assistant - MA

Education: High School Diploma or GED Certification: BLS required within 90 days of hire Preferred Experience: 6+ months in clinical healthcare, ideally in primary care

Primary Care - Certified MA

Education: High School Diploma or GED Certification: Active MA certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) BLS: Required within 90 days of hire

LPN Option

Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing Licensure: Active LPN license Preferred Experience: 6+ months in clinical healthcare, preferably primary care
