Summary
The Curiosity First Early Education Program is hiring experienced Lead Preschool Teachers to provide a high quality Early Childhood Educational experience for young children and their families. Educators at Curiosity First use their experience and knowledge of child development to ensure that each child's cognitive, physical, emotional, language, and cultural needs are met. Our educators provide a well-rounded education for each child by developing partnerships with parents and achieving curriculum standards.
Qualification:
Minimum Education
Bachelor Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development.
Or,
Bachelor Degree or higher in a related field with a minimum of 36 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Elementary Education, or Child Development.
Minimum Experience
5+ years teaching in an Early Childhood Education or Elementary School setting.
CPR Certification - pediatric first aid; and pediatric, child, and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Job Function and Responsibilities
Provide classroom support, management, and supervision of all assigned children.
Provide leadership to Assistant Teachers, Center Floaters, and Volunteers and assist them with classroom management duties.
Implement all program health and safety standards.
Provide age-appropriate adult-child interactions.
Provide age-appropriate guidance and direction.
Implement assigned curriculum (HighScope):
Complete and post weekly classroom lesson plans.
Complete daily age-appropriate large and small group activities.
Engage children in age-appropriate activities during child-directed work time
Gather development observations for children.
Assess the growth and development of each child and complete assigned developmental assessments for all children.
Conduct parent/teacher conferences.
Complete monthly classroom newsletter.
Greet parents, inform parents of their child's day, address parent concerns, and communicate parental concerns to the Director.
Complete assigned classroom daily sheets.
Assist children with diapering and toileting in an age-appropriate manner observing all health and safety standards.
Ensure classroom setup is conducive to learning.
Ensure classroom materials are clean, unbroken, and age-appropriate.
Attend all mandatory meetings, workshops, and conferences.
Participate in parent engagement events as assigned.
Ensure each child is signed-in and out by parent(s) daily.
Complete daily meal point of service forms as assigned.
Work as a member of a team.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs on a regular basis, and have the ability to bend easily at the knees. Must be able to sit, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time
