Preschool Teacher (Part-Time)
Hours: 16 hours per week
Position Summary
We are seeking a warm, creative, and reliable Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The teacher will provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages . The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of early childhood development, can design meaningful lesson plans, and communicates effectively with children, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool-age children.
Plan and implement daily and weekly lesson plans, including circle time, art, early literacy, early math, science, and hands-on activities.
Supervise children at all times and ensure classroom safety and cleanliness.
Support children's social-emotional development through guidance, modeling, and positive discipline.
Assist with toileting or bathroom routines as needed.
Set up and clean up classroom activities and learning centers.
Maintain daily records such as attendance, incident reports, and parent communication.
Follow all licensing regulations, program policies, and health & safety standards.
Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to maintain a high-quality preschool program.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 12 Core Units in Child Development (or currently enrolled and making progress).
Minimum one year of experience working in a licensed preschool or child care center.
Ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds as needed for classroom duties.
Knowledge of preschool curriculum planning, early learning standards, and child development.
CPR/First Aid certification (or obtained upon hire).
Fingerprint clearance and required immunizations per licensing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
Experience designing small-group learning activities.
Strong communication, classroom management, and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with play-based, Reggio, or Montessori-inspired approaches (optional
