Job Summary


The Preschool Assistant Director plays a vital leadership role in overseeing daily operations, educational programming, and staff management within a preschool setting. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong management skills to ensure a nurturing, safe, and effective learning environment for young children. The Assistant Director collaborates with the Director to implement educational standards, manage administrative tasks, and support staff development. A background in education administration and teaching, along with leadership experience, is essential to succeed in this role.

Duties



Assist in developing and implementing curriculum plans aligned with educational standards and best practices. Support the management of daily preschool operations, including scheduling, enrollment, and compliance with licensing regulations. Lead and supervise teaching staff, providing mentorship and performance evaluations to foster professional growth. Participate in strategic planning initiatives to enhance program quality and operational efficiency. Manage budgeting processes, monitor expenses, and assist in resource allocation to ensure financial sustainability. Oversee staff recruitment, training programs, and ongoing professional development activities. Collaborate with families to promote engagement and address concerns related to children's progress and well-being. Ensure health and safety protocols are maintained consistently across the facility. Maintain documentation related to licensing, accreditation, staff records, and student progress reports.

Experience



Proven management experience within an educational or childcare setting is required. Prior experience in education administration or leadership roles is highly desirable. Background in teaching or curriculum development is preferred. Familiarity with strategic planning, budgeting, and operational management within a preschool or similar environment is essential. Experience working with university programs or partnerships can be advantageous. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork. Excellent communication skills for engaging with staff, parents, and community stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,372.11 - $45,000.00 per year
