Job Description

Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians is seeking a Precertification to join our Precertification Department located in Westerville, OH. The department staff is responsible for supporting all COPC providers throughout the pre-certification processes. This role will be full-time, 7:30a-4p, Monday- Friday and one day 9:30a-6p.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process routine orders in the date received in a timely manner. Identify urgent orders and process orders the same day received.
• Verify insurance eligibility, complete pre-certifications as needed.
• Compile all clinical data needed to support the criteria set forth by each payor\xe2\x80\x99s guidelines.
• Communicate with the ordering provider if additional clinical clarification or information is needed before submitting request.
• Follow up on pending cases, respond to assigned telephone encounters, accurately document all activity of the case.
• Collaborate with team to distribute workload and prioritize department needs.
• Attend department and other related meetings.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of precertification and electronic health record experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following policies and procedures accordingly.
• Excellent organization, written and communication skills.
• Punctual, dependable, positive and dedicated.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strives daily to provide exemplary customer care to COPC\'s patients.
