Pre-OP Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pre-OP Registered Nurse to join our team at a busy medical facility near Espanola, New Mexico. The Pre-OP Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high quality patient care in preoperative settings. The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a strong commitment to patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the pre-operative setting
• Obtain patient histories, perform physical assessments, and document findings
• Educate patients and their families about preoperative care and procedures
• Monitor patients\xe2\x80\x99 vital signs, administer medication, and document changes
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
• Prepare and maintain medical records
• Follow standards and procedures while adhering to all safety protocols

Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate\xe2\x80\x99s or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license in New Mexico
• Pre-operative nursing experience
• Knowledge of medical equipment and supplies
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
