Practice Support Specialist
to join our growing team.
This position blends
clinical support and administrative coordination
to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and exceptional service at every touchpoint. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Support
Assist with patient intake, vitals, rooming, and documentation for consultations and follow-up visits
Support clinical documentation in the EMR, including visit notes and patient communications
Educate patients on pre-visit expectations, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
Maintain exam rooms and supplies according to infection control standards
Facilitate communication between patients, providers, and external facilities
Administrative & Operational Duties
Coordinate scheduling for office visits and follow-ups
Verify recipet of patient medical records and imaging to ensure complete and timely processing
Respond to patient phone calls and messages promptly with professionalism and empathy
Track clinic workflow and help optimize patient experience and efficiency
Collaborate with leadership on operational projects as the practice expands
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Google Workspace)
Dependable, professional, and compassionate demeanor
Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
Preferred Experience:
Experience in a medical office or ambulatory care setting
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EMR), preferably eClinicalWorks
Background in direct patient care or front office coordination
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Lift up to 15 lbs unassisted
Perform reaching, bending, and light lifting tasks
Capable of assisting in basic patient mobility and safety
