Assist and inform the public on departmental policies and procedures; research, prepare, print, sort and/or file electronic police reports and perform a range of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Education directly related to the minimum requirements below may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
High school diploma or GED; and
Two (2) years of customer service or clerical experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid certified typing test issued by a state agency, county agency or an accredited educational institution with a minimum score of twenty-five (25) net WPM. Local typing tests may be taken Monday - Friday 8am to 3:30pm at the following locations: NM Workforce Connection, 501 Mountain Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102
Principles and practices of electronic filing, retrieval and processing of Law Enforcement Record
Principles and practices of Cash Handling
Principles and practices of Police Report Writing
Principles and practices of customer service
Office procedures, methods and equipment including computers and microfiche machines
Principles and procedures of record keeping
Basic mathematical principles
Principles of business letter writing and basic report preparation
Pertinent Federal, State and local codes, laws and regulations
Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
