PMO Program Manager - NPI

Applied Materials is the world leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world.

The Common Solution Group (CSG) has a new opportunity for a professional Program Manager (PM) to help establish and mature a new Program Management Office (PMO). A mindset for operational excellence and continuous improvement will determine whether you get to be a part of the solution.

This role is an on-sight/hybrid job (3/2). It is not a 100% remote role.

In this role, the PM will assess and drive measurable improvements to the New Product Introduction (NPI) processes while also leading NPI project teams.

The PM will be a strategic facilitator and have both strategic and execution responsibilities within a matrix organization.

Key Responsibilities

This is an IC role where leadership skills are critical. Additional critical skills and experience for this job include Systems Thinking, Organizational Change Management, Business Process Management, Lean, resource capacity and capability planning, predictive (waterfall) and agile project management, tolerance of ambiguity, influencing without direct authority, establishing metrics, adapting to change and driving business process improvements.

Required evidence and experience:

7+ years as a hands-on project manager, leading business and technical teams from the design to production lifecycle. Semiconductor manufacturing experience is big plus.

Global experience, collaborating with large cross-functional teams. (50+)

Agility in a high impact and high velocity environment (project durations of 3-6 months with a greater than $500K budget)

Dealing with complex problems (multiple sub-systems and sub-projects)

Embracing problems positively as an opportunity for improvement.

Balancing agility with process rigor.

High Emotional Intelligence and ability to put people first.

Preferred Experience:

Professional certification (PMP or SAFe)

7+ Years experience managing technical projects, preferably in a semi manufacturing environment (but not required).

Education: Bachelor\'s Degree (preferred)

U.S. Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $137,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
