POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the upkeep of Crystal Mountain Boulevard and Crystal Mountain Resort parking areas and roads with close attention to detail. This position needs to be able to properly assess road conditions and make appropriate maintenance decisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Plow roads, parking lots, and employee housing area Maintain safety of the boulevard by assessing conditions and plowing and/or applying road salt when appropriate Safely operate Crystal Mountain vehicles and equipment, including heavy equipment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum age of 18 Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record Minimum of 1 year experience in snow removal

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years' experience operating heavy equipment Knowledge of automotive and mechanic problem solving. Knowledge of State and Federal DOT regulations. Pre-employment drug test administered at the local hospital

The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects tools or controls. Must be capable of frequent wrist, elbow and should twisting and pulling movements. Must be capable of occasionally lifting and pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. , and frequently lifting, pushing, or pulling, and carrying up to 40lbs. Must be capable of climbing movements, walking on uneven terrain, and walking on snow and ice, and operating snow vehicles. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Indoor / Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in precarious places. Hazardous Materials / Noise: Employee will often be in contact with hazardous substances. They will be occasionally exposed to extreme hot/cold and wet conditions, noise, fumes or airborne particles, and the risk of electric shock. The noise level in the workplace is usually loud.
