Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled PLC Programmer to join our team, supporting manufacturing and industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) within complex marine or industrial environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation systems, including vessel alarm and control panels, sensors, and distributed control systems. Candidates with a background in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance, as well as military experience or expertise in high voltage and low voltage systems, are encouraged to apply. The position involves collaborating with service technicians and providing field service support to ensure optimal system performance.

Responsibilities:

Design and program custom alarm panels based on customer specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficient in PLC Programming ( Siemens / IDEC ) and AutoCAD.

Strong understanding of marine industry regulatory standards (ABS, U.S.C.G., Subchapter M).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering or related field, preferred.

Must have own transportation to and from work or jobs sites. Some jobs require out of state traveling Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Program and configure PLC systems to ensure optimal functionality. Create and review AutoCAD drawings for panel layouts and systems integration. Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements in panel design and functionality.
Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
