Job Description

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Plant Biology or other related fields. with one or more years of research training.

Preferred Qualifications:
More than 5-year experience in plant tissue culture and plant genome engineering experience.
More than 2-year experience in plant tissue-culture, transformation or gene editing especially in legume species.
A proven track record of scientific productivity; Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:
1. designing and testing new plant transformation strategies (legume species) (40%)
2. conducting routine plant transformation work (25%)
3. generating and caring transgenic or gene-edited plants (15%)
4. assisting with preparation of grant proposals, reports and manuscripts (10%)
5. supervising and training junior lab personnel (10%)
