Job Description
Job Summary Under limited supervision, performs daily planning and procurement of various components and
assemblies for assigned internal and external customers to assure flow of quality materials and services in
support of commitments to customers. Duties and Essential Job Functions
- Obtains materials, components, equipment and services in a cost effective and timely manner utilizing
- Send requests for quote to suppliers in support of new and existing customer quoting activities
- Participate in planning and scheduling of work orders for assigned customers; align customer build plans
- Maintains data integrity of MRP system with periodic supplier updates.
- Continuously plan, schedule, and manage materials to optimize inventory total cost and and inventory
- Develop and implement programs with customers and suppliers which address lead time, cost reduction and technical improvements
- Manages suppliers for assigned customer team through reporting monthly on time delivery and quality,
- Optimizes purchasing to increase favorable purchase price variance and makes sourcing decisions using
- Uses knowledge and experience to provide support and guidance to team members and other
- Other duties as assigned
